John's CD, Timeless Beauty, is a compilation of original works for solo guitar, along with an original arrangement of "Simple Gifts". The overriding inspiration is the beauty of nature and the prevailing style is instrumental music with a folk influence. John plays classical, acoustic 6 string, and acoustic 12 string guitars. His Watershed Suite incorporates recorded sounds from nature. All tracks are for solo guitar, and no overdubs are utilized.
